UWB Hacks is a 3-day hackathon where students come together to build amazing projects, show them off to industry guests and other students, and compete for prizes! Going to a hackathon is an excellent way to develop your skills, meet new people, and leave with a sweet project for your resume, stories you can tell in interviews, and something to keep working on after the fact (and hopefully get some prizes, too!). Also, there's free food!
Who is eligible?
All university students (and recent grads) over the age of 18 are welcome to attend! We're open to every major, and encourage cross-discipline collaboration. We'll also be providing some opportunities for those without coding backgrounds to participate.
Is there free food?
Yes!
What else can I do during the event?
We'll have a bunch of workshops and other events happening over the hackathon weekend, including technical focused workshops to develop your skills, career and networking events, and speaker events where you can learn from and talk to industry leaders!
What is this year's theme?
Our hackathon theme is "Hacks the Future". We're celebrating our 10th annual UWB Hacks, and looking back at all the hackathons before us, we're filled with excitement at what's yet to come. So, we encourage you to look forward into the next decade and make our future a reality! We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
